Precompressed Version
The pre-compressed version of GIUNTOPLASTO and RESACRYL represents an innovative solution by LEM ITALIA s.r.l.: quick application, perfect results, waterproof seal guaranteed from the very first moment.
The strips are pre-compressed in the factory to approximately 1/5 of their original thickness and supplied in convenient, ready-to-use rolls. The physical and chemical characteristics remain identical to those of standard products.

When to use prestressed concrete?
- When the joint is already formed;
- When the elements to be sealed are light and cannot receive manual compressive force, making mechanical means necessary;
- When the uncompressed gasket would create difficulties in installing the elements;
- When pouring concrete and wanting to create sealed joints, simply apply the strips before pouring. Re-expansion occurs after the concrete has set, completely eliminating the need to cut the joint.

How is it applied?
Installation is extremely simple and saves significant time. Simply unroll the strip and insert it into the existing joint, or glue it to the existing element once the joint has been created by assembly. The strip automatically seals the joint when the next element is installed.
Re-expansion occurs slowly, in times proportional to the temperature and the degree of compression. Adhesion to the walls is complete and secure, thanks to the material's natural elasticity.
With prestressing it is also possible to use strips of reduced width: the hold depends on the expansion force of the compressed material, not on the width of the strip.

A note on quality
GIUNTOPLASTO and RESACRYL gaskets are produced with a higher weight/volume than similar products on the market. This means that, for the same volume, each strip contains more active material—for a more effective, longer-lasting, and safer seal.
