Expanded polyurethane impregnated with acrylic resin mixture
Resacryl
The ideal solution for elastically sealing joints in environments subject to significant temperature fluctuations and aggressive weather conditions. Formulated and produced exclusively by LEM Italia, it is softer and more flexible than GIUNTOPLASTO, making it particularly suitable for lightweight sheet metal, translucent panels, and applications where aesthetics are crucial. It does not stain surfaces and is also available in a pre-compressed version for quick and easy installation.
- Self-extinguishing B2;
- Rot-proof;
- Non-toxic;
- Sound-absorbing;
- Anti-vibration;
- Pre-stressed available;
- Strips and die-cuts.
Behavior under compression
Performance by compression level
- 10% Active sound insulation. Effective barrier against air and dust, including atmospheric dust and desert sand;
- 50% Excellent thermal insulation. Effective windproofing even in extreme weather conditions;
- 83% Weatherproof. Completely waterproof and weatherproof.
Technical description
Characteristics of the material
RESACRYL is a flexible expanded polyurethane foam treated with a special acrylic resin blend, developed and formulated exclusively by LEM Italia. The material exhibits excellent long-term performance: its properties remain unchanged even after accelerated aging tests.
Thanks to its permanent elasticity and plasticity, it can return to its original volume when the compressive force is released, in a time proportional to the temperature and degree of compression. It is not damaged by birds, does not bulge under load, and does not deteriorate during prolonged storage.
It offers excellent resistance to soluble salts — including bivalent ones —, ultraviolet rays, chemical agents, alkalis and greases, making it ideal for use in the refrigeration sector, ducts and metal structures subject to thermal expansion.
