Technical description
Characteristics of the material
Giuntoplasto is a flexible expanded polyurethane foam treated with a special bitumen-based blend, developed and formulated exclusively by LEM Italia. The material exhibits excellent long-term performance: its properties remain unchanged even after accelerated aging tests.
Thanks to its permanent elasticity and plasticity, even when compressed beyond 90% it is able to return to its original volume when the compressive force ceases, in a time proportional to the temperature and the degree of compression.
It adheres perfectly to contact surfaces, compensates for surface irregularities, and does not bulge under load. It does not deteriorate during prolonged storage. It can undergo significant deformation without losing its function, making it ideal for joints between materials with very different expansion coefficients.
